Tad Cienciala

'From Poland to Ponteland'

Tad is a regular at Perspectives. Born in south west Poland (Silesia) before the outbreak of WW2, his early years included time under Stalinist occupation in east Poland, where his father was taken prisoner by the Russians.  His mother, brother and he moved back to Silesia.

There was a later flight in 1945 to western Germany to escape the advancing Russians, then in 1948 Tad and his brother joined their father in London, after his release by the Russians.

In 1958 Tad moved to NE England as a surveyor for the National Coal Board, where he continued until he retired.  His journey of faith has been lifelong, and his talk will include three specific highlights when God met him and called him to follow Jesus.
